Money Line
Moneyline consists sections that provide you with basic information about your account:. Moneyline is based on the closing of previous day and is updated on a daily basis. Intra-day executions are not reflected in the moneyline until the next opening.
  • Short Name
    Name associated with the account. Used for reference purposes.
  • Type
    This field represents the particular type of account (1 = Cash, 2 = Margin, 3 =Short) in which activity occurs.
  • Trade Date Balance
    Amount of cash in account based on the trade date.
  • House call
    In reference to total house call, this field represents funds due based on current requirements. When in reference to house surplus, however, this field reflects the equity in excess of house requirements.
  • SMA
    Special Memorandum Account. This is the figure given for margin accounts. These are funds available to the client from either cash deposits, proceeds of transactions, or appreciation of assets in the account. Client may withdraw these funds any time. For margin accounts, SMA X 2 equals the buying power available.
  • Buying Power
    The maximum amount available for new trading commitments which does not require additional deposits of cash securities. Buying power is limited to marginal equity securities.
  • Total Trade Date Cash Balance
    Amount of cash in account after trades are concluded. Stocks are settled in three business days. Options are settled in one business day.
  • Total Equity Market Value
    The total market value of your equity holdings in your portfolio.
  • Net Value of  Options
    Total value of the options (long and short) in the account as of yesterday's closing.
  • Net Value
    Net Value=Total Trade Date Cash Balance + Total Equity Market Value + Net Value Of Options
